Is booking directly through the website really cheaper?
Yes, definitely. When booking directly through our official website, you save the commission fees charged by major booking portals (approx. 10-15%). We pass this price advantage directly on to you. Furthermore, electricity, water, and heating are already included in our prices.
Is final cleaning included or are there extra costs?
No hidden costs: The final cleaning as well as all utility costs for electricity, water, and heating are already fully included in our displayed final prices. Only the local tourist tax (Kurtaxe) of the city of Heiligenhafen applies on site.
Do I need to pay a security deposit?
No, we deliberately waive a security deposit! We trust our guests and want to make your booking and stay as uncomplicated as possible.
What payment methods are available?
For direct bookings via our website, we accept credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and classic bank transfers. There are zero additional booking or service fees for you.
Can I cancel my booking for free?
Yes. Direct bookings via our website can be cancelled free of charge up to 30 days before arrival. For later cancellations, we immediately release the period again – if re-booking succeeds, the revenue will of course be credited.
Check-in and Check-out: What are the times and is there flexibility?
Arrival from 3:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM. Provided the apartment was not occupied the day before, we are happy to arrange an earlier access upon request. Late arrivals are possible at any time via our key safe.
Are the holiday apartments accessible via an elevator?
Yes, all our accommodations (Ostsee-Loge, Ostseepanorama, and Ostseeglück) are located on upper floors and are easily accessible via an elevator in the building. Key handover takes place personally or contactlessly via a secure safe.
What should I know about bedding and mattress sizes?
You can optionally book linen packages for 15 € per person (made beds & towels). If you wish to bring your own bedding: All our accommodations are equipped with German standard mattresses (90 × 200 cm) (also for double and wall beds). Standard duvet covers (135 × 200 cm) and pillowcases (80 × 80 cm) are required.
How much is the tourist tax (Ostseecard) in Heiligenhafen?
The tourist tax is a mandatory local fee set by the city of Heiligenhafen for guests aged 18 and older (children/youths under 18 free). For 2026, it ranges between €1.80 and €3.00 per day. Are there secure parking spaces for cars and storage for bicycles?

Is Wi-Fi and charging available for electric cars?
Fast fiber-optic Wi-Fi is provided free of charge. Public electric vehicle charging stations can be found within short walking distance at the Aktiv-Hus and the central parking lots by the inland lake.
How far is it to the beach, bakery, and old town?

How far is Fehmarn Island and can you see it?
So close that you can see Fehmarn directly from your balcony! The Baltic Sea island is practically right on the doorstep. The Fehmarn Sound Bridge can be reached by car in just about 10–15 minutes (approx. 12 km), making our apartments the perfect starting point for day trips.
What is provided in the kitchen and is there equipment for children?
Our kitchens are fully equipped (coffee machine, toaster, dishwasher). Upon request, we are happy to provide a baby travel cot free of charge and a high chair.
Is there a washing machine in the building?
Yes, shared washing machines and dryers are available in the building for all guests to use for a small fee (coin-operated).
Why are pets not allowed and is smoking prohibited?
All apartments are non-smoking accommodations. Out of consideration for allergy sufferers, pets are unfortunately not permitted to guarantee an allergen-reduced environment for all guests.
Are there designated dog beaches in Heiligenhafen?
Even though pets are not permitted in our holiday apartments due to allergies, Heiligenhafen offers great options for day visitors with dogs: There are designated dog beaches on the Steinwarder (Baltic Sea) as well as at the Graswarder.
What recreational options are available for rainy days?
