Everything you need to know about the local holiday tax (Kurabgabe) and how you benefit from your personal OstseeCard during your stay at our Steinwarder apartments.
Like most premium coastal resorts on the German Baltic Sea, Heiligenhafen levies a tourist tax (Kurabgabe). This contribution is legally mandatory and directly reinvested into the community. It funds the professional maintenance of our wide sandy beaches, safety services (DLRG lifeguards), clean public restrooms, free cultural events, and high-quality infrastructure.
As private hosts, we handle the registration and processing transparently for you. In return, you receive your OstseeCard, which serves as your ticket to a well-kept holiday environment and unlocks hundreds of local discounts.
The tourist tax rate depends on the season of your arrival. It is calculated per adult (18 years and older) per day. Children and teenagers under the age of 18 are **completely exempt** from the tax all year round.
3.00 € / adult / day
Applies during the entire spring and summer months (April to October) as well as over the Christmas and New Year holidays.
1.80 € / adult / day
Applies during the winter and transitional months (January to March, and November to mid-December).
Stay right at the beach on the Steinwarder peninsula. When booking directly with us, your tourist tax is calculated automatically and fully transparently.
